01The challenge
The lender's finance team reconciled bank, gateway and loan-system records by hand. Month-end took three days, exceptions slipped through, and the process could not keep up with a loan book that was doubling every year.
02Our approach
We mapped every money movement in a two-week discovery sprint, then designed an event-driven pipeline that ingests bank statements, gateway webhooks and ledger entries the moment they happen.
A matching engine written in Go applies deterministic rules first and probabilistic matching second, routing only genuine exceptions to a purpose-built review queue with a full audit trail.
03The outcome
Reconciliation now runs continuously. The finance team works only on true exceptions, and auditors can trace any rupee from source to ledger in seconds.
